    Running Scared.

It used to be on about every three days on the various Turner channels.

In addition to the many mentioned above, add No Country for Old Men to the list. The movie is awesome, but in addition to that, there are 3-4 darkly funny moments that make me giggle every time I watch that movie.

    Another one:

    Mississippi Burning.

I believe you're the only guy I know of who lumps these three together. Even the "Godfather marathons" now pretend that 3 never happened.

If you are going to watch 1&2, might as well watch 3 as well to see how the threads come together.

BTW, GF3, light-years behind 1/2 as it was, was still nominated for Best Picture in 1990, and arguably could have won ("Ghost??" "Dances With Wolves??").

GoodFellas also came out that year.

But I agree that GF3 is not a terrible film on its own, just suffers tremendously by comparison to the other two. However, Pacino overacts ridiculously in GF3, and Sofia Coppola is laughably awful (though they were reportedly hamstrung there when Winona Ryder pulled out at the last minute).

Oh yeah, if I were voting for the 1990 honorees, I would probably put GF3 behind Goodfellas and Awakenings. But definitely ahead of "Dances with Wolves," which WON.

I almost never watch a non kids movie on TV for all of the reasons listed above.

I do find myself watching Bond movies if they're on, the original Star Wars movies if they're on and the first two Godfather movies.

This is pretty idiotic since I own all the films on DVD.

    Just can't do it.
I used to rewatch a lot of movies. I just can't do it anymore.

The Godfather III is an abomination to all that is good and right with the world. ... It is made that much worse by the fact that even though we were all thoroughly warned about the stomach punch it delivers, we've all watched it anyhow, because putting numbers after the the word "Godfather" is like waving a bag of heroin in front of a junkie. By the time you realize you got a deadly hot shot, unfortunately it's too late.

I don't believe nobody has mentioned 12 Angry Men
    But I'll also go with:
    Casablanca
    The African Queen
    The Shawshank Redemption
    To Kill A Mockingbird
    Ghost
    The Producers
    My Cousin Vinny
    and, or course,
    The Godfather
    Godfather II

And I agree with those who can't watch Godfather III
