    RE: The Thread title.

I wouldn't mind inducing Dowd to gag every once in a while.

Alas, that would require two miracles.

    Tongue-in-cheek: Yeah.

My question for you Pringle is this: How much self-stroking do you do when you watch Ms. Dowd on TV?

SportsJournalists.com members deserve the truth from you Pringle, and don't think your bow tie, cheesy mustache and delicious potato crisps will help you out this time.

Agreed that the sarcasm font was on with that lede.

I definitely don't think she represents the "new Democrats," as history will probably know them, which are really the "old" Democrats. Populists, really. In a way, the '60s kind of finally ended last Tuesday.

Sorry, but just out of curiosity, what makes Dowd an "elitist"?

I think it's clear she was trying to be self-deprecating here.

That said. Mo Dowd is either really on or really off.

Just a guess, but if you have a regular column on the Op-Ed page of the New York Times and won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary, you're pretty elite

I haven't read her regularly in years, but from what I remember, the title of this thread is wrong.
