More legislative stupidity

    How about legislatures, both state and federal, start worrying about the things that are really wrong in this country and stay the hell out of stupid sports debates.

    It's shades of a story from back when John Warner (then married to Liz Taylor) first was elected to the Senate. The Virginia Republican Caucus unanimously voted to censure Garry Trudeau for his treatment of Warner and Taylor in Doonesbury.

    And for the record, the book containing that series is, appropriately enough, called "A Tad Overweight But Violet Eyes to Die For."
