For a second I thought VCU was joining the Big South or something

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I only whip it out when people make "Nats suck" jokes.
    They're not good.
    They don't suck.
And they were 5-1 against the Mets the final two weeks.
    Five
    and
    One

    Spoilers.
    Suck that.

For years, all I could do was wait for the Mets to be the spoilers. Now I'm spoiled; I guess you can call it that. They're consistently putting a competitive product on the field. The Nats will get there eventually. They're certainly not nearly as bad as they should have been.

As I've trotted out before: .500 ball for the last five months of the season. The team that everyone thought was a lock to lose 100 didn't even lose 90. Which is amazing when I go back over the pitching roster. Yee Gawd.

Thing is, I don't hate the Mets at all. But there's no hiding that one fact: 5-1 vs. Mets, final two weeks. You can't beat a team that sucks, you don't belong in the playoffs.
