    I suggested Cleveland 54s. Or even 95s.

We need more 'number' nicknames - there hasn't been one in a while.

    Cleveland Rocks.

A ready made fight song (I think whoever is handling Mott the Hoople songwriting royalties would probably make a deal)

Unlimited mascot possibilities (people dressed in rock outfits)

    Great possibilities for headlines:
    -- Rocks smash Yankees
    -- Rocks crumble under pressure

    etc etc etc

    The Cleveland Ten-Cent Beer Nights.
    Imagine the logo possibilities.

Fact check: Joe Diffie did not die of lung cancer. Joe Diffie’s Widow Squashes Rumor He Died Of Lung Cancer, Not COVID-19 (article dated April 21)

But we’re used to Joe West making bad calls.

On the extra innings deal, they should have given each team in extra innings the option of:

1, man on first, no outs
2, man on second, one out
3, man on third, two outs

I like this idea, but if too many teams take option 3, there could be a ton of 1-out half innings.

I guess it would depend on where they are in the lineup.
