MLB season delayed

I don't think there's any way in the world they agree on a 50-60 game regular season schedule.

 

If it's just 50 or 60 games, why bother?

Recoup of lost revenue is one thing but I can't get invested in a 50-game season as a fan

 

Why would this be different from anything else in the entire history of baseball?

 

At this point, I simply don't care. Fuck baseball, and fuck professional sports in general. There are far more important things to worry about.

All this current dead time, they could have to themselves.

I think 2020 is the year baseball really understands their pecking order in the sports landscape.

They were never going to start before July though. The public wrangling is ugly and tone-deaf.

They can, and might, fuck this up still. But if they’re playing July 4 weekend they’ll have a month to themselves.

 

I will bet you 100 internet dollars that there aren't real games being played on July 4.
