    Must be distant relatives of Ohioans who call it "Cincinnatuh". My grandparents always did.

    Missouri.

    many from the crappy little burg in northeastern Oklahoma call it Mia-muh, which distinguishes it from the Florida city of somewhat greater renown.

    Actually, everyone in the whole state calls it Miam-uh. It's how you say it.

    Sadly, in the South, the pronunciation difficulties of many extend far beyond "Missouri."

    Sort of on topic, it is not WESCONSIN it is WISCONSIN.

    My uncle was from some small-ass town in Missouri (though I can't remember what it's called) and played at Mizzou. Drafted into the NFL. Has traveled the country.

    Still calls it Missourah.

    This one's easy folks:
    Missouri -- North of I-70.
    Missourah -- South of I-70.
    There you have it.

    I live/lived south of I-70 and I call it Missouri.
