Figure we need a new PSU abuse scandal thread ...

Mike McQueary is preparing to file a whistleblower lawsuit against PSU.

The assistant football coach at Penn State University whose grand jury testimony placed him near the center of the Jerry Sandusky child sex scandal plans to sue the university.
Michael McQueary's attorney on Tuesday filed a notice in Centre County Common Pleas Court indicating he will pursue a whistle-blower suit against Penn State.
The four-page document gave no details about what the suit will allege or damages it will seek.
Mr. McQueary reported seeing Mr. Sandusky, a retired football defensive coordinator, sexually assault a boy in a campus shower at University Park more than a decade ago and relayed the information to famed football coach Joe Paterno, who at the time alerted his superiors but did not notify police.
In November, as a scandal blew up over the university's failure to report the incident to law enforcement, Mr. Paterno was fired and the school's president, Graham Spanier, resigned. Mr. McQueary was placed on leave that month.
Penn State had no immediate reaction Tuesday to the suit.
"We have not seen the complaint, so we can't comment on it," said university spokesman Dave La Torre.
He confirmed that Mr. McQueary is still on Penn State's payroll.
