Surprise! Mike Gundy is upset with the media.

In the latest installment, he banned one of the few blogs devoted to Oklahoma State athletics. Even the great Berry Tramel wrote a column about this.

In an interesting note, after Gundy called Pistols Firing about the ban, they were the ones that found the picture of him wearing the OANN shirt and almost cost Gundy his star running back.

Why are we still calling sites like that blogs when they’ve clearly grown beyond that name?

    They’re a news organization.

I don't know about news organizations; they're booster organizations.

If you read the 2007 Jenni Carlson column again, does it read differently now?

Would it even be written today?

Sometimes second-banana sources deserve second-banana coverage.

With the Thunder's presence, Gundy U gets pushed down the totem pole.

Gundy is perhaps George Nigh. He ain't Carl Albert, nor is he Inhofe.

The politics of Oklahoma exists in a framework of a presidential republic modeled after the United States.

    Allegedly.

why are we acting like blog is an insult? Do they publish a dead tree or magazine? If the content is read online only its a blog

    ESPN.com is a blog?

Anyone except for Mike Gundy who thinks "blog" as a pejorative in 2020 is really overthinking things. Gundy is using the word to justify his insanity.

Porter is the publisher but has a job at CBS sports. He said that OSU had been giving them one seat for games, but they would not allow the full-time beat reporter in the press box. It had to be Porter or someone else. Are other SID's that petty? Is it typical when accreditation is granted to dictate to the school which staffer goes to the games, especially when it means blacklisting the beat reporter?
