    Sirs, Madames,

    Coincidence:

    I covered Mike Fisher in his rookie season. His Sens team-mates gave him the business about failing his audition for In Sync.

    I stayed a few days in Carrie Underwood's hometown, Checotah, Ok, in March 2005, including one of the nights that she was competing on 'Merican Idol. (I was down doing a story on a kid in the baseball program at nearby Connors State JC.)
