I saw them live a bit over a decade ago. It was great. I would definitely like to see them again.

  2. Weren't they featured in a Chuck Taylor commercial at some point?

I don't remember that, but that's what it says on the band's Wiki page:

    Where'd they go?

Best news I've heard all week. Saw them at Tipatinas in 1994 and St. Pete in 1993.

Top 5 best live band!! Stage dove in club in 1993.

    Wake up Dr. D!!

I've been a big fan for years, obviously. But I always felt a bit jaded listening to "All Things Considered" off Pay Attention.

    We knew it's true
    He's short a few
Check out the deck, it's light
Said he wrote the entire soundtrack for A Hard Day's Night
On Peyton Place, played second base
    He says but he regrets
The stadium was Shea, the team, the New York Mets

I can't even listen to music without my being a Mets fan thrown in my face. ...

I think the comeback will only be for the Hometown Throwdown in December, so he'll probably be able to keep his day job.
