    I dare say, here we go again ... Let the fun begin. ::) ::) ::) One of several openings at the JRC properties recently commandeered by a new publisher.

    Description:
    The Middletown Press, a community daily located in central Connecticut, is seeking a sports editor. The successful candidate is responsible for overseeing the newspaper’s coverage, reporting on local events, writing features and designing pages. Middletown is home to Wesleyan University, one of the leading liberal arts colleges in the country, as well as a full complement of high school and youth sports. Previous experience is required. Layout experience is helpful, but not required.     i think the CT papers suck the biggest of donkey balls in that chain.

    for any idiot that's thinking about applying for this one, ask ahead of time how much youth sports -- percentage-wise -- are involved in this gig ... more than you think.

    If it wasn't 6 am I'd rewrite that ad. But it is so I'm not.

    Do not ever, ever, ever, apply for or accept any job at any Journal Register Company newspaper.

    It doesn't matter how badly you think you need or want a job, you don't need this one.

    It's JRC. Sports, especially local sports, are the franchise.
