I like it too, but I refuse to ascribe perfection to a song with the lyric “The best soy latte that you ever had, and me”

My girlfriend at the time broke up with me the summer before 9/11.

She asked me to get back together a few weeks later, and said “Drops of Jupiter,” which was being played a billion times a day, and specifically the lyric “did you miss me while you were looking for yourself,” made her rethink the breakup.

And then we lived happily ever after!

(Just kidding. She cheated on me the week after 9/11 and I never saw her again.)

George W Bush said it was important to the country for everyone to carry on like before.

Any so-called alternative radio station that either played Hootie in the 90s or Train in the 00s need to turn in their alternative cards NOW.

Surely you remember that "Hey Soul Sister" song that got played eleventy billion times. The only OTHER song by them I've heard of.

I think that’s sarcasm or winking irony.

Alternative radio turning into something people have in the background is the worst. The idea that something that came out of punk could be bland, formulaic songs is disgusting.

I don't know what is worse. Pop punk or people claiming to be alternative when it was just bland, lazy songwriting.

Me and anybody else who's been to Angel Stadium more than once knows "Calling All Angels" pretty well after watching the team history video they play on the board before every game.
