So I can't figure out how the hell I got my friggin windows taskbar on the side of the screen instead of on the bottom, where it belongs. I go to taskbar properties, no help at all. Any ideas?

Just click on it w/the mouse and slide it over. First, make sure it is unlocked (right click to see).

Now, if you need to close a frozen program, hit ctrl-alt-delete.

Well, to each his own. Now, if you want to move some text from one place to another, highlight the text, then hit control c. Then to put it in the new place, hit control v.

    Isn't Metsfan=fail redundant?

If you want to say Mets=fail, go for it. But I've got a great reason for being a Mets fan and it has nothing to do with fail, I assure you.
