He also said it took off the birthmark on his right arm (pointing towards the camera in the cover shot).

Might have happened because that's not so much airbrushing as it is just putting his head on somebody else's body, who didn't have a birthmark.

I agree it's a bad shop job, but a lot of tennis players have vastly different arms -- depending on if they're right-handed or a lefty. Jimmy Connors' left arm was twice as big around as his left.

    EDIT: Here's an example: http://www.sporting-heroes.net/files_tennis/CONNORS_Jimmy_1982_GH_T.jpg

That's a good point, John. But judging from that picture sportschick posted, they still ballooned the shit out of it.

No doubt. That cover looks like something The Onion would do for a joke.

Men's Fitness is owned by The National Enquirer folks and paid (pays?) Arnie Schwarzenegger millions to "edit" it.

    Need I say more?

Please, anything at this point is better than those American Express ads that are contstantly in MacLean's magazine. ::) Andy's outfit when he is sitting in the boat needs some work. Just terrible for a decent looking guy

You know, people are making a big deal about this, but they've been doing this on women's magazine covers for years. Hell, they regularly take photos of models and actresses and shrink their waists and add to their boobs. The whole thing is creepy...

And to think the Blade canned a photog because he cropped out some distracting legs that had nothing to do with the photo subject.

With fashion/lifestyle magazines, they don't look at the cover journalistically. It's an ad to get you to buy the magazine. They Photoshop the shit out of those covers.
