    Agreed. Most cities have one company that effectively if not literally controls all print media. But putting newspapers under the umbrella of news organizations, regardless of the product, changes things.

    Not the size of LA. I am convinced that there will be other bidders for LAT.

    What other bidders? No one wants to buy a newspaper right now. See Seattle, Denver, Detroit, Boston.

    Newsday was sold and there were multiple bidders.
