I posted an essay by a professor at the University of Michigan on the nature of 'Jewish revenge.'

The most prominent expression of which in postmodern popular culture may be 'Inglourious Basterds.' *

'Inglourious Basterds' was directed by Quentin Tarantino.

I remain skeptical of Tarantino's work.

    * (Although 'Munich' is probably the better movie.)

Norway, Ireland and Spain have recognized a Palestinian state in a historic move. Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris said on Wednesday it was coordinated with Spain and Norway, “an historic and important day for ... Palestine.”

Several other European countries have in the past weeks indicated that they plan to recognize a Palestinian state, arguing a two-state solution is essential for lasting peace in the region.

In response, Israel — whose government rejects a two-state solution — ordered the return of its ambassadors from the three countries.

BTW. ... that ceasefire deal that Hamas accepted a week or two ago that many of you immediately concluded was Exhibit Z of some Israeli malfeasance . ... was an Egyptian intelligence officer who was dealing with Hamas saying no over and over again to anything Israel offered, and then changing the terms himself and presented it to Hamas without ever talking to the Israelis.

The treaty announcement that was denounced here as "Hamas playing games"?

I just went back. The only post I can find that includes "playing games" language was from me.

That wasn't anyone DENOUNCING anything. I was summarizing what was a "he said, he said" situation.

Compare what I posted, which was pretty much saying, "None of us know exactly what is going on here" to this:

Not war-related, but Sunak has just called the UK national election for, ironically, July 4.
