    Yeah, the stories above sum it up nicely. Find any Reddit thread about people's shittiest celebrity encounters and a huge number will involve Ellen.

    A coworker had several friends in college who interned at the show. She says they all had stories about what a nightmare she is.

    The one story that told me all I needed to know: Ellen adopted a dog from a rescue group. She agreed that if it didn't work she would return the dog to the rescue. (That's absolutely standard and very important to rescues.) She quickly decided she didn't want the dog and gave it to a family in her neighborhood. The rescue reminded her that she agreed to return the dog. She responded by going on her show, calling out the rescue by name, and demanding to know why the mean rescue people want to steal a little girl's beloved puppy away from her. People immediately bombarded the rescue with death threats. Ellen is trash.
