Yes, the Constitution gives him the right to say what he wants. But the Secret Service is there to protect their charges, and when someone trots out the C word, I'm sure they get very interested in him, especially when they learn he lied to get into the meeting. It's their job to do things like that.
I'm sure if someone asked Hillary Clinton if her penis was longer than Bill's, they'd get escorted to another room and get questioned, too.

My guess is that the gasp came not because he used a naughty word, but because he actually had the nerve to ask McCain that question right then and there. It's not every day you see some ordinary person being that direct with a person held in such high esteem in that setting.

My two favorite female friends in the world throw this word around like it's candy at Mardi Gras. So hearing it in this sense isn't the most shocking thing i've ever heard, personally.

It's called Iowa. And it's the strangest place you've ever been not named North Dakota.

Too bad the Washington press corps isn't as direct with our nation's pols as that guy was.

  6. He should have asked McCain about his wife's drug problem and embezzlement from a non-profit foundation and whether someone who wasn't a Senator's wife would be able to get off as scot-free as she did.
