Not posting on jobs board because I'm not sure there's a job yet. Pipeline passed this along:

Kyle Hightower is leaving the Sentinel to take a position covering the Orlando Magic, UCF football and general news for the Associated Press. Since arriving at the Sentinel in 2004, Kyle has covered a variety of beats including high schools, UCF and the Orlando Magic during their run to the NBA Finals in 2009. While on the UCF beat, he won several awards for a story about the differing accounts of players and coaches regarding the workout that preceded the death of football player Ereck Plancher. His last day will be Thursday, Dec. 30.

Good luck to Kyle. With central Florida sending so many kids to Colorado State in the past few years, our Rivals site has worked with the Sentinel quite a bit helping the other make sure it has the latest info on recruits. They do a great job down there.

Not your typical jump from The Sentinel, but as good as Kyle has been at The Sentinel, he was pretty low on the totem pole there.

And maybe one in Fort Lauderdale?

Sarah Talalay, who covered sports business for the Sun Sentinel, is leaving to take a job outside of journalism. Today was her last day.

What became of Antonio Gonzalez, who had the AP job in Orlando?

He is headed to the Bay Area, where he will cover sports for the AP there.

Looking forward to seeing what Antonio will do out here. AP's Northern California coverage is great with Janie McCauley and Josh Dubow and can only get better.

Andrew Carter going from FSU in Orlando to Dolphins in FtL to replace the new columnist - and they plan to have someone FSU:

Well, the Orlando and FtL papers are under the same umbrella now.
