Matt Bush in trouble yet again

This time, the former No. 1 overall pick got drunk, drove and nearly killed someone.

But it's not everyday you get to type "72-year-old motorcyclist."

 

One of the all-time F-ups. But, then again, leaving the scene is now the norm, not some world-shaking exception. Welcome to 21st century America: it is not my fault, because I did not explicitly mean to do it.

Victim now in a coma, unresponsive, hooked to a feeding tube and respirator.

The family deserves compensation from Bush, if he has any, assuming the widely reported allegations are facts.

But to say the Rays are at fault because they "brought Bush to their community knowing he was a danger" is a money grab pure and simple. That should be laughed out of court.

 

Passan's story struck me as unnecessarily sympathetic in parts.

 

Seems that a lot of the reporting was done before the accident, and he probably had to do a massive re-write on the fly.

 

The whole thing about the mean anchor was silly. If you get drunk and make a public spectacle of yourself involving the cops, you deserve a little mocking.
