    40, or 4 - whatever...

    East Bay Express has utilized free-lancers for a while. Losing editors is probably akin to cutting out middle managers as many dailies have done.
    It is pretty bad though - the East Bay has already seen BANG pretty much evacuate the area.

    I'm assuming it'll all be freelance work now. Might get some good stories for 25 bucks or so a story?
