For anyone that read this thread:

    http://www.sportsjournalists.com/forum/threads/88332/

...you know that my job is now open. It is NOT, repeat, NOT, a newspaper job, though I have a journalism degree and a newspaper background. So it's perfect for people on this board if you want to escape the newspaper industry and transition to another field.

It's in suburban St. Louis. It was a fair pay raise from my entry-level journalism job when I took it. Plus it is a regular 8-5 office job, so your nights and weekends are free again. It is work, and this is an interesting place to work and an interesting industry (debt collection, and no, you do not have to call debtors in this position), and I have my share of complaints. That said, your coworkers here are awesome and this could be a great job for somebody. Plus, it worked as an excellent stepping-stone for me.

I know they're looking to hire somebody soon, meaning have that person sitting where my butt currently is positioned, within about two weeks. So keep that in mind. Any questions, let me know.

Also worth noting: I told them to specifically look for a journalist, because I think that's the only way they'll find a person with the skill set this job requires (good writing, editing and graphic design). So people from this board will presumably have a leg up.
