Mark Buehrle ... never mind

Perfect through five, and he has established the MLB record with 43 straight retired batters.

For serious (in case you're ignoring ye olde baseball runneth thread)

False alarm. He lost his perfect game and his no-hitter and his shutout on back-to-back-to-back Twins batters in the bottom of the sixth. Now suddenly one more swing and he could lose the decision. But it was fun while it lasted and he does own the MLB record for most retired batters in a row with 45.

Everyone go back to the baseball running thread.

    Perfect through five at Minnesota.

People are apparently attempting to kill spnited on the baseball threads today with the use of new record.

I was just so excited to start another Mark Buehrle thread that I forgot my manners. Least I spelled his name right the first time this go-round.

And now I see the ESPN box updated to reflect that the number is in fact 43.

Merge 'em Moddy... or we might set as new record for redundancy.

Perfecto is gone with a walk with two down in the sixth.

    No-hitter is still intact.
    Oops, now the no-hitter's gone

    GET HIM OUT OF HERE
