    "Strong negotiating skills in dealing with writers, photographers" sounds ominous for the writers and photographers.

    this sounds like a cool idea, but it seems like magazines like this pop up in Alabama every three or four years and fold up shop pretty quickly.

    There was a high school magazine last year that was the worst one I've ever seen. Knowing English was not a requirement....

    If you're talking about the white covered mag with the "1st annual," on the front, yes is was a terrible one. I got it mailed to me from Georgia and after talking with several other SEs in our state, apparently the guy mailed it out to every SE from the state's press association web site listing, asking each SE to write a column to promote the book. I didn't write one. The book was pretty bad. One of the things that stood out was using the same photo several times throughout the book. Guess they didn't know many photogs in Bama.
