    Manager of Social Media - Edmonton Oilers Hockey Team (Edmotnon Oilers, AB)

    • Reports to the Director, Social Media
    • The Community Manager, Social Media is a full-time, benefited position.

    Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Responsible for the daily activity for all Oilers social media communities including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, blogs and message boards.
    • Manage all social media initiatives from planning, implementation to measurement.
    • Monitor all social media feeds regularly and track the sentiment and messaging.
    • Monitor the Oilers social media metrics.
    • Act as Event Manager for all Tweetups and social media events.
    • Monitor and engage the Oilers external social media brand ambassadors and bloggers.
    • Support the social media fan engagement on all Oilers game nights.
    • Interview and write articles for Oil Country Magazine & participate in the editorial process.
    • Write for a variety of mediums from press releases, articles, internal communication pieces and all social media forums.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills:
    • University degree in communications or a related field.
    • Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in communication, new media, marketing or digital media
    • Knowledge of the NHL and hockey
    • In-depth knowledge of Social Media, particularly in professional sports.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License

    Other Requirements:
    • This position requires access to a vehicle

    THis job has a former posters name written all over it. Although she would have to move 3 hours North.

    It would be an interesting experimentbto use Facebook for all communications with the Oilers.
