So here's the thing about rat poison. It's a drug called warfarin. I didn't know that until I read this:

At the time I was reading it, my dad had a stroke. It was pretty serious. I was in the hospital and my sister was talking to the doctor and they were talking about the dose of warfarin he was getting!

    I freaked.

It turns out that large doses of warfarin kill rats. In humans, small doses are used as a blood thinner, for example, after someone has a stroke.

Warfarin kills rats and mice by making them bleed to death internally. Thallium sulfate is another ingredient that works the same way. I think most poisons sold today use the latter.

Is emitting the same thing as farting? And, is warfarin lethal when combined with methane?

Turns out that the rat poison mixed with his stomach acid - and he could potentially belch flames.

No Taco Bell fire sauce for this guy...
