So a bunch of thugs storm the Capitol and that's the governor's fault how exactly?

There is such a thing as public safety. If have a pretty good idea a riot is going to break out if you open the doors you don't open the fucking doors. Pretty simple.

Can you cite any evidence of thuggish behavior, other than the statements from the governor's office that are being quickly refuted by the police?

Right. Because middle school students these days are so politically aware they believe they have something to offer. Probably 2-3 reasonably smart kids decided this would be a great way to get a day off.

Sorry, but the response to this is ridiculous.

The response of the professional left to this is far more uncivil than anything the right displayed after the passage of ObamaCare.

Yet, people want to portray the -- nearly all white -- protesters in Madison and their supporters in the legislature as heroic underdogs fighting for the little guy, while anyone who protested ObamaCare was deemed to be an out of control racist.

The Democrats leave the state to prevent a quorum and that's brilliant. The Republicans work around that and they're evil.

They're accused of "ramming this through". Hmm. Where did I hear that criticism before?

Seems it fell on deaf ears previously, but it's trumpeted today.

Elections have consequences. If this is contrary to the public's wishes, there will be a remedy available at the polls in the next election.

I notice that for all this bluster you didn't say anything that could be proven or disproven. There was plenty of behavior that was less than civil post-Obamacare, and as to the rest of your generalizations, either side could make the claim about the other, and either side would have enough anecdotal fuel to back it up. As for the Republicans' work-around here, that's just the way politics gets and it will have to stand, although I think the courts might have something to say about whether the process and the final product were legal.

Also I think the protests have done quite a bit to destroy Scott Walker's image, and the state senators facing recall are probably a bit nervous that it had to come to this, which is another point of the protest -- making the elected officials think twice

Maybe people didn't protest healthcare to this degree because they actually agreed in principle with reform, whereas ending collective bargaining rights sparked some true outrage and prompted people to practice their right to assemble and protest.
