MacGruber reminds me, to use a newspaper analogy, of that columnist gimmick or long-running feature that your editor loves but everyone else in the newsroom mocks.

Someone important at SNL must love this skit; can't see many else agreeing.

I'm holding out for "Laser Cats: The Movie."

As for worst SNL-based movie, Stuart Saves His Family and It's Pat are well out in front of the field.

I watched It's Pat whenever it came out on VHS in 95ish. I remember nothing about that movie except it wasn't funny and I think there's a guy who follows him/her around and spends the final act of the movie trying to initiate sex. Could be making that all up.

Maybe it could have a Looney Tunes feel to it, where the movie is simply a series of MacGruber deaths, ala Wile E. Coyote.

    Still... FAIL.

Not at all. It was Kids In The Hall's Dave Foley. And he/she/it, too, was ambidextr ambivale you couldn't tell the sex.

I will set the over/under of Rotten Tomatoes score at 20 percent.
