I was gonna do 10, but I have to run out for a few hours. Here’s my top 7 8… Just my humble opinion, of course. Hope you enjoy.

EDIT: How could I leave out No. 8?

It's possible I'm just hyper-sensitive, and I know Cheney and Rumsfeld aren't spending a lot of time in synagogues, but this looks a lot like a political version of "The Hanukkah Song."

You must not read the right left-wing fear-mongering Web sites. It's a pretty unoriginal list of the betes noires of the MoveOn/Daily Kos crowd.

And how dangerous, honestly, is Doug Feith, a guy who hasn't worked in government for almost two years? Or the 84-year-old Henry Kissinger? Or the just-defenestrated Paul Wolfowitz?

Nice of you to add another gentile to the list for camouflage.

This is almost as stupid as some of Yawn's threads.

That's the level I was going for... just for the sake of balance.

Well, the good point is that Wolfowitz, Feith, Perle, Rumsfeld, et al, are no longer in positions of power. Unfortunately, their philosophies heavily influenced one of the biggest debacles in American foreign policy history. Perhaps they're no longer dangerous, but didn't they do enough damage when they had the president's ear?

Meanwhile, the "let's-go-beyond-partisanship" message of neoconservatism's failures is this: Don't pay too much attention to ivory tower intellectuals (be they liberal or conservative) who have no concept of reality. I honestly don't think Wolfowitz is a malicious guy; he just didn't have a fucking clue about the real world.

At what point do we cross the line from "dangerous extremists" to "people who have worldviews different from mine"? I'm no fan of Dr. Laura, but if I see her I'm not going to dive into my safe room.

Also, where's the list of most dangerous Quaker extremists?
