So there are no facts and everything is open to interpretation?

This thread is another great microcosm of how politics works in America now.

Who gives a shit what a contrarian troll thinks about Politifact? It's obvious to anyone that he's beyond the pale, and happily beyond it. Leave him be. Stop arguing with someone whose primary function is to embody dissonance and angst.

Most reasonable people know Ben Carson is full of shit and Trump is a blowhard. An informed person can listen to the debates and tell Chris Christie, for all his flaws, actually appears to have a Grasp of policy.

The trouble is, people aren't that informed. We're in an postmodern age where we've given the trolls a respect and responsibilty I'm not even sure they want or can handle. I'll take implied bias from a serious, responsible person over fevered revelation from a reckless fool.

It's almost like we're on a street, right, and of the 25 houses on it, we've decided the guy with tarp over the windows and the unmowed lawn and the junk on the porch - that's the Guy we're going to have organize the block association because some of the owners are smug or occasionally rub us the wrong way. We're going to afford the committed malcontent a kind of authority.

It's a waste of time. He can't handle the responsibility.

I'm sure there were lots of Chrisrian Democrats in 1933 who dismissed Hitler and National Socialism with the same argument. Until the brown shirts beat people in the streets. Trumps followers have done that, Carly's lies about Planned Parenthood got some people killed in Colorado. Cruz has been demonizing million since he got to the Senate and we are all worse off.

Anybody who truly believes that Democratic politicians are routinely more honest (or less dishonest) than Republican ones is a friggin' dunce. They're all swine and they're all liars. Even journalists, with all their superior intelligence and education, ought to know this.

    Republicans are Hulk Hogan.
    Democrats are the Macho Man.
They want you to believe that they hate each other and what each other stand for, despite the fact that their checks are signed by the same people and they attend the same parties. But they like that people pick a favorite and root. It keeps them employed and it's great for business.

    Politically speaking, that's a concern

On a message board? Seriously, stop responding to the Guy. He doesn't want to have a conversation. He'll purposely leave questions unaddressed or answer in what amount to non-sequiturs. Give him the and grace and respect of being left to beliefs he doesn't want to unpack or defend.

Well, since the folks who refuse to debate/respond to questions/challenges have taken over this board, it's tough to have legitimate discussions. It's so blatantly obvious when you challenge what they say and they disappear. Yet they keep on posting. It's uncanny.

We've discussed, at length, how deep and abiding of liars and blowhards Trump and Carson can be.

What was more notable about the data is Christie tells a lot more truths.

And Jeb and Rand Paul, for that matter. Far more truthful

I might vote for Jeb but doesn't look like I'll get the chance. He's honest and knows his shit. What a concept.
