Great column?

Whitlock cites all this evidence of why the public and media had every right to think TO tried to kill himself, and then says he doesn't believe it. It's weird to me. Why not?

 

OK, I don't get it. We're equating a possible suicide attempt with, what, a penchant for end zone dances? The guy may have put half a Walgreens down his neck and we're wagging our fingers and calling him a clown? Jesus, when I hear that someone who's "confused, insecure and lacking in good sense" just about OD'd on hydrocodone, I don't immediately think "clownish behavior." I think, oh, I don't know, depression.

 

I find this absolutely rich coming from where it is coming. If I am part of the thread police, you are just as assuredly the high priestess. And just so everybody knows that the rules haven't changed -- you are quite free to comment on threads as they pop up.

And as for you, wi ... pardon us if we didn't see the OBVIOUS tongue-in-cheek nature of "Let's keep the Whitlock lovefest going..."

 

I liked the column. It was pretty good considering all the speculation still going on.

 

Yeah, I was remiss in saying that. This particular column was dead on.
