They already have all "the same basic human and civil rights" that everyone else has.

Marriage is not a right. If it were, then why couldn't I demand that Jennifer Aniston marry me? Because it also would require her consent. Anything that requires the consent of a second party cannot be, by definition, a right.

I know nothing about your family, LTL, and even if I did, I would never drag them into one of our silly disagreements. A man has to have some principles, right?
