    Dean Singleton says if union contract negotiations drag out, look for big-time cuts.

    Singleton is known for this kinda crap.

    I think it falls into the "not surprised" category. Same stuff he did in Southern California. And elsewhere.

    The proposal gives him authority to make big-time cuts anyway, any time he wants.

    Thank God I don't work for that guy.

    I feel sorry for the people at the Merc. And I bet the people in Santa Cruz are going to church every day, praying Singleton doesn't buy them.
