    And frankly, many people were worried about Peyton possibly embarrassing himself.

    If you had known beforehand that one of the SB quarterbacks was going to lose two fumbles that gave the opponents 15 points, how many would have figured Manning would be the victim?

    Pearlman, always lecturing everybody on how journalism should be done. What a righteous prick. How come he doesn't come down from his ivory tower and work the Super Bowl post-game himself if he's so good at it?

    I thought it was cute how Pearlman writes that we're not quite sure if that really was the end for Peyton.

    Really? Come on, man, did you see him play?He's 40, he was the worst player on the field, by far, and the only reason he didn't get pulled was because Denver held the lead.

    No team, Denver included, will go into training camp with Peyton Manning as its starting quarterback. It's over. The only reason he hasn't announced it is because, like Kobe, Peyton is the last to acknowledge that this really is the end.
