With all the crap going on these days, I did get a chuckle out of this. A Q&A snippet from Singleton/Butler that maybe says they could use some of their copy editors back?

The recent necessary downsizing at some of our newspapers was a difficult decision, from both a personal and professional perspective, and we will certainly miss our cohorts. Each played an important role in the company, and there departure, through no fault of their own, leaves a whole that the rest of our employees will have to find a way to fill.

That's it. Next round of layoffs is aimed squarely at the copy desk in Bombay. One of the higher-ups just got an e-mail from a fella in Nigeria who says he'll handle all the copy editing duties for U.S. $800.

As you can imagine, The Pipeline is really flowing these days. Particularly out of Florida but elsewhere, too.
