Remember those lists of movies that you can't believe you haven't seen? Mine included Road House. I rectified that tonight.

Congrats on a movie that was somehow a mix of Scarface, Dirty Dancing and Karate Kid all at once. It was glorious.

The dialogue in that movie is so.....entertaining?

Doc: Your file says you've got a degree from NYU. What in?
    Dalton: Philosophy.
    Doc: Any particular discipline?
Dalton: No. Not really. Man's search for faith. That sort of shit.
Doc: Come up with any answers?
    Dalton: Not too many.
Doc: How's a guy like you end up a bouncer?
    Dalton: Just lucky I guess.

We lost so much when we lost Bourdain.

Thank you for pushing me to discover this on YouTube.

I don’t know how they edited that, but Murray is just such a master.

The topic Road House comes up and he could have immediately showed his cards, but he allows the other two to put everything on the table, and then he opens up and finishes with a story that cannot possibly be topped.

    A master at work.

Thanks for here as well. Murray calling Kelly Lynch’s house in middle of night is fantastic.

"Alpha Dogs." I just put it in the back of my mind a few years ago after I mentioned here that Olivia Wilde is in my top 5 non-blonde list. I know she was blonde a lot in her earlier roles, but she is the real deal in "The Change-Up." She was the perfect girl.
Somebody posted that I had to see "Alpha Dogs" but I never did until last night. It started off like just another stoner movie and I nearly bailed, partly because Olivia was playing a floozie. But I stuck with it. It progressed pretty well and I never envisioned the ending. Not an all-time movie, but certainly a decent way to burn a couple of hours while staying at home.

The scene where he meets and fires the staff is an all-timer. Every time I see someone get fired who is an incompetent asshole, I always want to give them the parting shot of, "There's always barber college."
