    If you pick Nashville that last weekend of August, you got a nice SEC/ESPN football kickoff classic to attend at Vanderbilt on Aug. 29.

    I would do my best to attend a gathering in early August. Mid-August intrudes on football tab time.

    Deep South gathering: Locations narrowed; final vote

    Ladies and gentlemen, we have narrowed the possible dates and locations for a gathering to the three below:

    Louisville: 10-11 AUG
    Chattanooga: 9-11 AUG
    Atlanta: Last week of August

    The Louisville date actually beat the others by a vote, but it was my vote that broke the tie. It honestly doesn't matter to me because I'm pretty central to all three locations, and I want to do this where we'll get max participation. In order to do that, we'll put this up for a final vote via PM to me by noon Central on Friday.

    Hmmmm, and that Friday is a payday too... might have to convince Ms. Slappy we haven't been to Chattanooga in a while...
