Laptop chill pads

    Anybody bought one of these (Targus or any other brand)? Are they worth it? Do they do anything?

    My cheapo Targus one lasted about a year before crapping out a few weeks ago. Within days, so did my laptop's cooling fan.

    Anecdotal, yes, but I'm buying another one (upgrading to the model with the built in USB ports)>
