    Lot of people who know him said he wasn't. Don't know if I'd believe them, but he at the least had th3m fooled.

    That's not a new phenomenon. Gentrification of low-income neighborhoods has been an issue in New York and other places for decades. It sounds like a good idea, but it prices the existing residents out.

    I'm aware of gentrification issues, no need for the explanation.

    But this is not that kind of story. It's not poor renters worrying about being priced out of their neighborhood, and the motivation here is not about financial issues. Instead, sounds like it's wealthy and successful black homeowners, living in what is already a fully gentrified high rent district, who don't want whites moving in because .....well...?
