    Bird:

    Sam Zell won't sell the LA Times to local buyer(s). Tax issues.

    But the guerrilla marketing concept sounds terrific. You should send Steve Lopez an e-mail. Maybe he'll write a column about what 18-year-olds think they can do to revive the Times ... just the fact that they think it's worth reviving might be news in itself.
