    Welcome to my day. First thing I hear is some lady telling me about the "big mistake" in a baseball story ... some other kid made the errors, not the one we had listed. Naturally, she left no name or number so, thanks for nothing, mom!

    A few hours later, I see an email from one of the swim parents, with a little wrapup of the conference diving meet that day. She'd even e-mailed a few days earlier to let us know about the meet and what we needed. I was able to make about six-inch story out of it ... but before I even started writing, another e-mail came in. Photos of the meet. OK, a bunch of podium shots, but one good one of a local kid we can, and did, use.

    Think we need to be reminded that for every egomaniacal parent who's been forwarding their kid's Pop Warner stats to Canton since Day 1, there's equally as many who do things in a positive way.
