    *sigh*

Can't they get personnel people from somewhere other than Baltimore?

  3. He's in. Just as Earnest Byner was almost "in" the end zone.

What was the holdup on this? I thought this was supposed to be close to a done deal two or three weeks ago?

They couldn't interview him until the Ravens were out of the playoffs. I think it's been a done deal, but to keep it on the up and up, they had to wait.

EDIT: Negotiate or hire. Brain fart. They did interview him before the AFC title game. Sorry.

Thanks, IJAG. Didn't know execs were restricted on interviews, too.

Apparently so. One of those no-tampering things that apparently reaches throughout the org. I don't know the ins and outs, but that's what the stories I read said. I know they interviewed him before the AFC title game, but then apparently couldn't talk to him again until the Ravens were done.

The guy's from my hometown, so I'm sure he'll do fine. :)

Would you prefer someone from Pittsburgh?
