I thought that for a while too (I'm a worrier).

But It doesn't hurt when I go for my walks, do my stairmaster.

It only hurts at my desks. And it's better today than it was when it started. It's worse by the end of my shift.

FLASH: I drink eight cups of a water a day. It's not that. At least I don't think it is.

For what it's worth, I think tossing in "problem" after blood clot is redundant.

Those things scare the shit out of me.

Well, I went to the walk-in medical clinic this morning.

Told the doctor my symptoms. When they occur etc. He poked and prodded my back. Used his stethoscope. Asked about my history.

Ruled it a "classic musculature problem" and prescribed some anti-inflamatories (sp?).

Also said in a firm, instructional tone,"it's not a clot or aneurysm, so put that out of your mind right now."

Yeah, sounds like you just need to get up from your desk and move around/stretch more.

Try a foam roller or a small ball, like a lacrosse or tennis ball.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the suggestions, in PM-land and in the thread. I've used/done many of them.

I feel almost perfect today, the second day of meds.

I was scared for a while. I literally couldn't sit at my desk for more than 45 minutes.

    Thanks again all.
