    Description:

    We are looking for a dynamic leader to keep our sports staff on its prize-winning level. The Killeen Daily Herald, a seven-day, 18,000 circulation newspaper, takes great pride in giving our readers in-depth looks at the sports scene in the heart of Texas. Our people know that sports is more than box scores – they take a look at the hearts and souls of our athletes, the issues surrounding sports and many other aspects. Our staff keeps busy covering 12 area high schools, including six at the 5A level, a Division III college and some Baylor, Texas and Texas A & M football.

    The ideal applicant will have experience in managing a sports department, have the ability to write sparkling prose and the skills to help design our sports pages in the daily and three weeklies. We also need this person to manage our vibrant sports-only digital side.
