Kenyan runner has feet amputated after disappearing in Alaska blizzard

    He may have been struggling with a friend's suicide and ran off into a massive snowstorm in only jeans and sneakers and a light jacket.

    When they found him, they couldn't get his shoes off because they were frozen to his feet.

    The whole thing just sounds so heartbreaking.

    Very sad and scary stuff. You also have to wonder about the effects of someone from Kenya going to school in a place like Alaska. Can't be easy.
