Was kinda my point in regards to retiring Sawchuck's Leaf jersey... He wasn't remembered as agreat with the Leafs, but more so with the Wings.
Johnny Bower? Yes. Terry Sawchuck? No.

    That's Leaves. Get it straight.

  5. This was supposed to be a thread honoring a hero from a hockey team that's actually won a few Stanley Cups since the invention of color TV. Instead, it's turned into the Harold Ballard Memorial Landfill.
    Zut alors.

Colour TV - first demonstrated separately by CBS and RCA in 1940.

Number of Stanley Cups won by Toronto since then - 10.

I think that qualifies as "a few," don't you? ;D

  9. Being a touch literal, aren't we?
Of course, you might be distracted planning that 40th anniversary celebration.

I think the idea is to have a re-enactment of the original parade. :)

  11. That'd have to be after the seance, I'm guessing.

I'm not even a Leaf fan ::) Been a Wings fan since I was a kid. Had a Tom Webster #8 jersey I ordered from Doug Laurie Sporting Goods in Toronto. Even had a Doug Grant #31. Suffered through (most of) the 42 year drought between Cups.
Just like a good discussion, that's all :D
