    It's a final in Anaheim. Save #58.

Well, clearly this is the greatest season any closer's ever had.

I was set to pull a Cowbell and put a steel-toed boot up your ass until I realized you were being sarcastic.

    You suck.

I really needed him to blow the save tonight, and he put himself in position to do it.

    I hate him.

Hell, if Ricky Nolassco was a closer, he would have 116 saves by now. He's twice as good as K-Rod.

Tom Seaver didn't need a closer.

    <a href="http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/PHI/PHI196807072.shtml">But Danny Frisella needed Tom Seaver.</a>

When Dusty Baker tried to remove Chuck Norris from a 2-1 game with two outs in the ninth inning, Baker received a broken nose for his efforts. Norris went on to pitch 14-consecutive complete games.

BTW, sp ... thanks for the gramatically correct thread title. Makes this part-time copy editor weak in the knees. ;)

You'll love him in Citi Field next year.

The Royals aren't a real baseball team unless they pay K-Rod $22 million a year.

Sure will. I need a new closer, too, now with Wagner only having one arm.
