    This isn't even the worst Gilligan's Island rip-off idea. There was a "real life Gilligan's Island reality show patterned after Survivor with "real life" professors, millionaires and movie stars etc. - I seem to recall the movie stars were Rachel Hunter and Nicole Eggert.

    The star trek franchise has had a pretty good run. I think it would be the most succesful tv show turned movie, turned into four more tv shows turned into more movies, plus a cartoon or two and books, comic books and magazines

    Somebody mentioned Zach Galifianakis as the skipper, but I could actually see him playing Gilligan, outside of the body type.

    Entertainment Weekly reporting a reboot of Police Academy is in the works.

    Is the line between a green light and "that's the dumbest idea ever - Get the f*ck out of my office" really that thin?
