NFL players go from high-fives to crying about how unfair the lockout is. Dolphins GM spouts off a bit by saying "We'll just go with what the league is telling us." BS, since the vast majority of owners are in favor of the lockout, including his boss.

All of baseball has to compete with those teams for players.

Goodell might be caving a bit. Supposedly a new owner's proposal on the table. Talks getting more serious, will go on into tonight.

If you're into appellate decisions, you can follow along:

Anyone see Robert Kraft's quote about this entire ordeal? He said something along the lines of (paraphrasing), "We are reaching a point where the fans just want football to be played and all this meaningless squabbling is hurting the brand."

Um, really Bob? That point happened when the lockout was first announced, and now it's just a tired performance for fans and onlookers. And it's funny how he called it meaningless squabblng; does that mean the owners are in over their heads or are fighting for a bunch of extra crap they don't need? That is a backhand to the fans and the players, as the owners are the guys running amok and trying to drain every last cent they can out this agreement.

    What a joke.

Decertification isn't a sham, but the NFL is a cartel according to the players in the antitrust suit asking the Eighth Circuit to overturn the stay on the injunction to lift the lockout?

I listened to Bizball Radio where William Gould, a law professor at Stanford, said the NFL's legal standing is much better now than it was.

The only thing worse about this for fans is the phalanx of lawyers and legal experts coming out the ass. Have mercy already.
